It’s Not Over Yet … there’s still time for heating maintenance

We are right in the “middle” of winter and it may even be snowing now as you read this. While January is almost over, we still have February and March (maybe even April) to go.

What happens if winter sends us a knock-out punch this year? Are you prepared?

Hopefully, you have had a heating system tune-up to ensure that your furnace or boiler is working at optimal efficiency. If not, it isn’t too late.

If your home isn’t as warm as you’d like, and you find yourself turning up the thermostat … If your heating bills are higher than usual … If you hear strange noises coming from your furnace … It’s time for a maintenance check. A heating system tune-up should include a thorough inspection and maintenance to repair any problems. A technician should also recommend replacement only when it is evident that continued repairs are no longer the most practical way to go. A new, upgraded system may be the best option and manufacturers’ rebates and tax credits from MassSave may be available as well.

Being prepared in New England means being sure you aren’t left “out in the cold” if your system fails in the middle of the night. An emergency HVAC call can be expensive, and you may have to wait your turn as others may be in front of you in line with the same problem.

A tune-up can lessen the risk of that happening. Nashoba Air & BoilerWorks offers maintenance plans that feature discounts and “front of the line” scheduling, as well as no overtime fees!

Your home is your biggest investment and needs protection when the New England weather strikes hard. We’ll be happy to discuss how you can protect your home during the long winter months.

If there is a power shortage, we have tips on how to prevent your pipes from freezing (see our blog on this topic) and we’ll be happy to talk to you about our line of whole-home generators that can be installed year ‘round’
