Nashoba Air & BoilerWorks installs a full line of air conditioning systems, ranging in SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio) from 13 to 21. We typically install 16 SEER in the Nashoba Valley Region.

Central Air Conditioning – The most common central cooling system includes an outdoor cabinet containing a condenser coil and compressor, and an indoor evaporator coil, usually installed in conjunction with your furnace or air handler. The compressor pumps refrigerant throughout the system. Your cooling system is usually combined with your central heating system because they share the same ductwork for distributing conditioned air throughout your home.

Ductless Air Conditioning – Are you tired of lugging your old window ac units up and down from the basement?  Do you have a boiler?  A ductless air conditioning may be the perfect solution.  A ductless air conditioner, often referred to as a mini-split or heat pump, is a cost-effective, attractive way to control indoor temperatures. Ductless air conditioning systems are particularly beneficial as the condenser is installed outside the home, ensuring quiet operation inside, while a wall- or ceiling-hung air handler is installed inside. A remotely wired or hand-held controller provides flexible operation which is programable for timing, temperature, and more. Ductless mini-splits provide a bonus in that you can use them as a secondary heat source, especially in the “shoulder seasons.”  In the Fall and Spring when you may experience uncomfortably cool mornings or evenings, you can use your mini-split to provide heat without having to turn on your gas or oil heating system.  For more information about ductless mini-splits, visit us on YouTube.

High-velocity Air Systems – If you need to cool an older home or a home with radiant heat, a high-velocity air system may be the ideal choice for you. The system distributes high-velocity air through flexible, pre-insulated two-inch tubing which slides through wall structures and around obstructions. All you see is a small, round, air outlet about the diameter of a compact disk.  Located on ceilings, walls, or floors, the outlets can be painted or wallpapered.

This ultra-quiet central air conditioning system is run by a blower unit small enough to fit inside an attic, basement, or crawlspace. For winter warming, the system can be heated through a hot water coil or electric coil.

Zoning Systems – An Integrated Zone System represents one of the highest technological achievements in heating and air conditioning.  Enabling the homeowner to control the temperature of rooms or zones with a separate thermostat, a zoned system runs quietly and provides even and continuous comfort.  Plus … you will save energy and fuel costs as you can lower temperatures in unoccupied rooms or separately program temperatures as desired.

Now this is what great service looks like! Joe D. and Justin S. arrived on time to install my mini split AC system and were friendly guys. They put on protective booties whenever they came in the house and laid down drop clothes inside on the paths they’d be walking. They explained how to use the units and patiently answered my questions. Their electrician also wore the booties, was friendly and did a great job of cleaning up too.  This was the best experience I’ve had with anyone who has worked at my house! Kudos and thanks.

“Leo from Nashoba Air saved my life this morning. He came to do the yearly maintenance and found the vent from the hot water heater as not connected to the vent pipe letting carbon dioxide into the furnace room. He put screws into the pipe so it would not disconnect again.

So along with doing a great job with the maintenance he really did save my life.”

They completed an entire conversion from steam heat to forced hot air in the matter of 3 days. They took out the old radiators too. Follow their advice when it comes to everything technical and you’ll be really happy with the result. If you need your heat replaced in the winter, they do provide electric space heaters.
