Gas or Oil – Nashoba Air & BoilerWorks installs a selection of high quality furnaces and boilers ranging from 80% to 98.1% efficiency. We offer variable speed and two-stage furnaces that feature the ability to constantly move air throughout the home. This essentially functions as a whole-house air cleaner and greatly increases your home comfort level.
A popular feature to help save energy and fuel costs is an Integrated Zone System. This enables the homeowner to control the temperature of rooms or zones with a separate thermostat, providing even and continuous comfort throughout the home.
Ductless Heat Pump – If you have a sunroom, a finished basement or any area that cannot be comforted by a typical heating system – a ductless system is a cost-effective, attractive way to control indoor temperatures. Ductless systems are particularly beneficial as the condenser is installed outside the home, ensuring quiet operation inside, while a wall- or ceiling-hung air handler is installed inside. A remotely wired or hand-held controller provides flexible operation which is programmable for timing, temperature, and more. Ductless mini-splits provide a bonus in that you can use them for air conditioning. For more information about ductless systems, visit us on YouTube.
Hybrid Heating Systems – A hybrid heating system can be compared with a hybrid car that uses both gasoline and electricity. A hybrid heating system uses a combination of electricity and either oil or LP gas. It has an outdoor condenser that is called a heat pump and an air handler. The system uses electricity to warm your home in the winter and cool your home in the summer. On cool mornings in the fall and early winter, you can use the system for heat until the outdoor temperature warms up. When winter temps drop to the point that you need the whole house heated, the system will automatically switch to your furnace or boiler. In the summer, the hybrid system is an air conditioner. A heat pump can use a duct system or can be ductless using a wall-hung air handler to transfer warm or cool air into your home. Yes, you get air conditioning and heating all in one system!
Zoning Systems – An Integrated Zone System represents one of the highest technological achievements in heating and air conditioning. Enabling the homeowner to control the temperature of rooms or zones with a separate thermostat, a zoned system runs quietly and provides even and continuous comfort. Plus … you will save energy and fuel costs as you can lower temperatures in unoccupied rooms or separately program temperatures as desired.
Radiant Heating – Radiant heating is different than traditional heating systems because it heats the objects in the room, not the air. The system uses flexible, durable PEX tubes under the flooring, through which hot water is circulated at low temperatures. Heat is transferred upwards and stays near the floor where it is needed, not wasted at the ceiling.
Radiant heating is efficient and offers room by room temperature control. It is clean and quiet and can be installed in just one room or the entire home. You can use any floor covering over radiant heating and is ideal for new, remodeling or retrofit projects. Furniture placement is optimized as there are no heating vents to get in the way!
Solar Ready Heating Systems – The Dave Lennox Signature® Collection of air conditioners and heat pumps come Solar Ready, which means they can serve as the platform for “going solar.” You simply add roof modules to these systems now or in the future – and in no time, you’ll be running your system “off the grid.” The experts at Nashoba Air & BoilerWorks will help you select the best technology for your project.
They completed an entire conversion from steam heat to forced hot air in the matter of 3 days. They took out the old radiators too. Follow their advice when it comes to everything technical and you’ll be really happy with the result. If you need your heat replaced in the winter, they do provide electric space heaters.
“Leo from Nashoba Air saved my life this morning. He came to do the yearly maintenance and found the vent from the hot water heater as not connected to the vent pipe letting carbon dioxide into the furnace room. He put screws into the pipe so it would not disconnect again.
So along with doing a great job with the maintenance he really did save my life.”
