The technician came on time; was polite and did diagnose the problem well. He came up to with two possible causes for the control board fuse blowing off after ruling out everything at the unit. A wire that was connected to the compressor whose insulation was slightly sheared and a contactor whose coil resistance was measuring low. The charges to fix them both in my opinion were mind-blowingly high though. To just cut two inches of the wire and reconnecting it back, it was upwards of $200 and it did not turn out to be the cause of the problem. Neither the material nor the labor involved justified the price to change the contactor which eventually stopped the fuse from blowing. Other than an heartbreakingly high cost, the work was performed well. My unit is back operational and thank you. Overall if the charges were a little bit more reasonable, it would have been a 5 star experience. Thank you though for helping out.
